These advertisements bring out anything in the universe… you name it they have an ad on it. Few of these are absolutely nonessential and some are downright abhorrent, so much so that one is provoked to flip the channel. 1. Coca Cola ad: Mean Joe Green
It was the year 1979 when this soft drink commercial was made and won the hearts of all. Defensive line football star and four times super bowl champion Mean Joe Green features in this ad where he is offered a coke by the little boy fan, who expects nothing in return but to console the sports hero. Joe, on accepting the treat is such full of delighted happiness that he ends up offering his Jersey to the boy. This commercial and its tagline ‘have a coke and a smile’ had plenty of emotional appeal and till date turns one nostalgic.
2. Budweiser: Frogs
This short commercial first featured in 1995 and became viral soon after its launch. The beauty of this ad was in its simplicity and candor. Three frogs croak in their cacophony the three syllables of the brand name, Budweiser. This simple yet witty commercial gained immense popularity and became an object of discussion worldwide. What’s remarkable is the ethnic reah out. The last moment where these successful kids hug their mothers or look at them with all the love they can muster, that is the highlight of the ad. P&G developed a great commecial, which is an all time favorite.
8. Canon: Long Live Imagination
This is yet again another masterpiece because of its innovative thinking. The camera is shown not with professional photographers but with adventure savvy people and other normal, day-to-day folks like you and me. Imagination lies in how these people take a mundane moment and make it memorable. The different shots show a man running from a giraffe, thus clicking it, man on a snow covered roof of a house, lady picturing a child cutting her birthday cake and so on. These remarkable images vouch the purpose of the ad i.e. imaginative thinking.
