Reliance Jio as you all know is known for its disruptive pricing in the telecom industry. We were paying 256 rupees for a single Gigabyte of data and now we are enjoying the same by paying just 10 rupees per month.
Not Only this, there are rumors of Jio launching new set top boxes, Jio Fiber, Jio Cabs and a whole lot more!
Mukesh Ambani led Jio has already launched Lyf Smartphones which are 4G VoLTE enabled.
He has given us free internet, cheap smartphones.etc. But Still, What’s left?
He saw that the rural households can’t afford a smartphone worth ₹4000.
So, Jio is coming up with a 4G phone which costs just ₹1500/-
No guys, It won’t be like Freedom 251, This time it’s real.
Jio is in talks with Spreadtrum (A chipset company) to produce the cheapest 4G smartphone in the world.
Previously, there were attempts like this,
The Freedom 251, The Aakash Tablet PC which never failed to reach anyone till date. etc
We’re getting inputs that these phones will be launched in Q3 of 2017 until Reliance Jio finalises the amount of Orders.
