BCCI is considered to be one of the richest sports bodies in the world. BCCI is always in the news for wrong reasons. Be it not obeying the orders of Supreme Court or the infamous Srinivasan controversies.
One such scandal is the spot-fixing scandal where many famous and influential people were arrested. Sreesanth was one such person. That incident tarnished Sreesanth’s image completely. He was even given a life ban by the BCCI.
However, Sreesanth didn’t lose hope. He is confident and patient.
In an interview which happened in December, this is what he says:
“As far as I remember, the ban for me was for not to play in BCCI tournaments and not to represent BCCI. Maybe, I will get an opportunity to play there. I not happy with the way BCCI has treated me. I am waiting to get (BCCI’s) permission to play club cricket.”
BCCI has also maintained it’s strict stand on imposing the ban on Sreesanth. According to him, the board didn’t send this prohibition in written format to any of its state or district cricket associations.
He was seen fuming over this ignorant attitude by the board. He slams the board for not accepting the Court’s decision by lifting the life ban imposed on him. He Is trying his best to get back to cricket and to play for the country again.
