It was the 4th of November of 2008; and USA leaped a step forward. Barack Obama was elected as the president defeating John McCain by a margin of huge almost 200 electoral votes.  Obama received the largest percentage of the popular vote for a Democrat in nearly 50 years. It was the start of a new era, as he was the first African- American president in the country’s history. A lot was expected from him and he did deliver and he was re elected as presented in 2012 which being his last run for president elections. We bring you 5 mistakes which he did in his tenure:

1. The prisoners for hostage deal

In 2009, Sargent Bergdahl was captured by Taliban when he seemingly walked off his position in the operating base. Many news rumours came about him and after 5 years he was released. Then news came bashing in that Obama had a deal with the Taliban to trade 5 four star generals of Taliban for the hostage. Even after constant pressure from military officials to not go forward with the deal, Obama carried on and exported the Talibani generals from Guantanamo. This incident raised many eyebrows. 2. Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary

It is one bold step that a government would choose a tax thief to run the department that’s in charge of IRS. When he was approached to be given the post of Treasury Secretary, it was disclosed that Geithner had not paid $35,000 in taxes from 2001-2004 while working for the IMF. Also Obama has already publicized his plans for the largest tax hike in the country’s history, almost a trillion dollars. What’s more absurd is that the man in charge of all the revenue collected himself doesn’t pay his taxes. If people on such high posts will cheat on taxes, then soon USA will have more tax savers than tax payers. 3. Killing stock values

Since Obamaentered his office, he sent some proposals which required a lot of capital;plans for trillion dollar tax hike, his steadyunkind remarks of the economy, and his nonstoptampering with banks and even the housing market have caused the stocks to drop. Stocks have dropped anyway because of the policies adopted by the president and the market already has reached the lowest level since 1997. 238488_stock-photo-falling-profits

4. Obama Care

Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law on March 23, 2010. Right from the start, it proved to be a disaster. When it started, the website failed and all the data was lost.Instead of reducing the cost, it cost the US government $2.4 trillion. Also, instead of creating 4 million jobs as expected, it just created a few thousand jobs with which new bureaucrats came into the picture to handle new taxes. Instead of lower cost of healthcare, the families suffered spike in their medical bills. The organization even handed out wrong subsidy amounts to thousands of people taking the government into loss. obamacare-logo_full

5. All time apologizing president

Apologizing has been Obama’s favourite pastime in his tenure. A letter was sent to the Japanese saying that the president wanted to apologize in person for the USA’s World War II actions when they dropped an atom bomb on Japan! Yes, Obama wanted to present his apology to the Japanese and that too in person. But sadly for him, the Japanese declined. Obama has apologized a lot due to many of his speeches, which brings America embarrassment. adda4b498e997725420f6a7067002f27
