In a shocking incident which happened this Sunday, a 23 yr old Techie who works for Infosys was murdered by a security guard in Pune.
Rasila Raju hails from Kerala; she was choked with a computer cable by the guard. Her body was found in a conference room on the 9th floor.
Police are suspecting that the incident would have taken place between 6 pm and 7 pm. It happened on the 9th floor of the building, in the ODC(Offshore Dedicated Centre) which is ironically considered safe because one could not access it without a Valid ID.
Police catch the criminal, and upon sources, the reason for the murder was the techie threatening to file a complaint because of the guard’s lewd behavior towards her.
He kept on following her till her cabin, looked for an opportunity and strangulated her until death. The Guard flees to Mumbai after the crime and Police catch him at the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
However, Rasila’s family alleges that she had already complained to the company about the misbehavior of the watchman; but no action was taken against him.
It shattered the dreams of her family, who were planning for her marriage.
It’s a shocking incident, and maybe is it about time we start Gender Sensitization classes from the School age?
