After working for Apple for over 13 years, Cook was appointed as the CEO of Apple Inc. in 2011 after taking the position from Steve Jobs. Ironically, Cook was asked to join Apple by Steve Jobs only. Cook served as Apple CEO for two months in 2004 and for several months in 2009 due to illness of Jobs. Cook started out as a part-time newspaper delivery boy in his childhood and ultimately became the CEO of the one of the biggest companies in the world. His decision to continue the idea of small tablets which Jobs rejected in his time gave birth to the iPad Mini which is the best selling tablet on the market, according to most analysts. Apple creates 75 percent of its energy from renewable sources which is double of what it was getting a year ago.

Larry page founded Google in 1998 with Sergey Brin. Page is also the inventor of PageRank. The duo started Google in their garage and expected to make some revenue by selling it off soon. They were unlucky as no one bought their website in around 1999 for a million dollars. From just a small idea they both created a website which is the most used on the internet. Page’s personal wealth is estimated to be US$32.3 billion entering him into the top 20 richest persons in Forbe’s list.
