1. Manali – Leh
With a total distance of 479 kilometres, this trip is a must with picturesque snow-clad mountains and beautiful valleys greeting on the way. It’s advisable to cover this whole trip in over 2 days to get used to the extreme climate.
2. Old Silk Route/Silk Road
The route connects Tibet (Lhasa) to India through the Jelep La Pass in Sikkim. The trip begins from Gangtok (Sikkim), you’ll be greeted by the Menmecho Lake and Mandakini Lake, and sometimes the Mount Kanchenjunga as well. The best time to visit is from May to December, as the rest of the year the route is covered with snow.
3. Manali – Shimla
Nestled on the bank of the river Beas, The road carves out the hill ages and narrows down by the end of the destination. This trip is worth for the scenic beauty all around.
4. Shillong – Cherrapunji
The whole journey takes around 2 hours to cover. From waterfalls, to beautiful landscape, to caves, you’ll see it all in this not-so-talked-about-route.

5. Mussoorie – Dhanaulti
This is another one short trip which takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Although there’s nothing much to see in Dhanaulti except for the Eco Park, the journey is worth because of well, the journey!
6. Rishikesh – Neelkanth Mahadev Temple (Pauri Garhwal District, Uttarakhand)
The trip is 32 km long. The whole road is cradled by lush green hills on one side and the river Ganges on the other.
7. Mumbai – Pune
This trip has to be taken on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, which is 6-lane wide at some places. The journey takes around 2.5 hours to complete. It’s generally taken by Mumbaikars at weekends to take a break from Mumbai’s chaotic lifestyle.
8. Puri – Konark
This route is 36 km long and takes around 1 hour to complete. The whole road is covered with a canopy of lush green trees all around. There are many scenic spots on the way where you can pause and collect memories.
9. Pamban Bridge
This bridge offers a spectacular view of the expanse of the river al around. It connects NH 49 to the Rameswaram Islands. It’s built alongside the Pamban Railway Bridge and the whole distance is covered in around 20 minutes.
9. Golden Triangle (Delhi-Agra-Jaipur)
A chance to explore 3 states at once in one holiday, what more does one need? The triangle is completed when you go from Delhi to Agra, Agra to Jaipur and then return to Delhi. This route is particularly popular among the people in the NCR region. The roads are well maintained and there are many eateries along the way.
