The Coolest Drink Of India
Wikipedia, very elegantly, summarizes the word JUGAD as, “a colloquial Hindi word that can mean an innovative fix or a simple work-around”.
But for us Indians who are such wholehearted ‘Jugadis’, this word needs no introduction. Simply put, Jugaad is what we do in our daily lives. How often have you heard the phrase, “Arey koi jugaad kr lenge”? In most of our cases we haven’t only heard it but, to a large extent, used it as well. World renowned, Indian born, Canadian comedian, Russell Peters, is well famous for his ethnic humor. And for good or bad, most of his jokes are based on the Indian accent and the fact that Indians are cheap. He jokes that “Indians are so dedicated to being cheap, that they actually invented the number Zero”. Well, we don’t mind being called cheap; we just look at it as being reasonable and well-managed. From this inherent ‘cheapness’, stems our impulsive need of being a Jugaadi. Let us have a look at 10 such Jugaads that we Indians do.
Chilling a bottle of soft drink in the freezer is too mainstream. So, we go the extra mile in being unconventional and use the air-conditioner to not only cool the room but also this inanimate object. What more, our wholeheartedness is exemplified by the fact that the bottle is hung in a comical yet thought out fashion. We surely are pro at thinking out of the box.
9. Because Its too Mainstream to but a PC Cooler
