It’s already 5 days into the new year. Time flies by, doesn’t it! But, but, but! Our Bollywood movie industry leaves no stones unturned in churning out back-to-back movies for the Indian (and overseas) audience to consume, and never let their palates dry!

1. Uri

Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri is based on the surgical strikes on Pakistan by India as an answer to the Uri attacks of 2016. It’s set to release on January 11.

2. Bombairiya

Another movie set to release on January 11 is Bombairiya, featuring an amazing star cast of Radhika Apte and Ravi Kishan. Radhika, a Public Relations Executive, who ironically hates people, loses her phone and gets caught in the crossover drama of the CID, police and hitmen.

3. Blank

Blank movie features Sunny Deol in the lead role, along with Karan Kapadia and Ishita Dutta, who played the role of Ajay Devgn’s daughter in Drishyam.

The movie is set to release on January 11.

4. Amavas

This is another horror movie on the block, you guys! The stunning Nargis Fakhri plays the role of a beautiful ghost haunting a house. The male lead is played by Sachiin Joshi. Only time will tell if this movie will manage to send chills through our spine, or not! Release date is January 11.

5. Thackeray

Set to release on January 23, this is a biopic on Bal Thackeray, the Shiv Sena supremo. We can expect lots of drama and amazing acting skills for this one, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amrita Rao.

6. Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi

Another biopic of this year, a historical one at that – Manikarnika showcases the struggle of our Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai, who was born Manikarnika Tambe, against the British Empire during the first freedom struggle of 1857. It will be releasing on January 25, starring Kangana Ranaut.

7. Cheat India

Set to release a day before the Republic Day, Cheat India portrays the plight of the exploitation of opportunists in the education sector in India, who loot clients on the promises of desired results and privilege in the top colleges. The cast includes Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary.

8. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

Shows the love stories of couples from two generations apart. Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor play reel-life father-daughter duo in this as well, with each going through their own set of challenges in their romantic relationships. Will be releasing in February.

9. Sonchiriya

This story is about the bandits of Chambal in the central part of India. When you have a movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee, you expect nothing short of cinematic magic! Sonchiriya will be releasing on February 8.

10. Gully Boy

This movie highlights the hip-hop scene in India. This musical drama stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Pooja Gor, portraying the lives of DIVINE (Vivian Fernandes) and Naezy (Naved Shaikh), famous for their collab Mere Gully Men. Releasing on the Valentine’s Day!
