Coronavirus has become the biggest issue the world has ever faced, the global pandemic has stopped everything which has been happening on our fast-paced planet. India is one of the most affected countries in the world and it is in more danger due to the population. But the pandemic has made us stronger as the whole India is fighting the pandemic as a team now.
Recently, PM Modi urged Bollywood celebrities to come forward and donate in PM-Cares Fund and in few days Bollywood celebrities have donated millions for the cause. Here is the list of some.
Akshay Kumar was the first big celebrity to come forward in support of PM-Cares Fund. Akhi proved that he is a hero in a real life too, he donated Rs. 25 crore to the fund and this created a wave and many other celebrities came forward to follow Akhi’s footsteps.
“This is that time when all that matters is the lives of of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to Narendra Modiji’s PM-CARES FUND. Let’s save lives, jaan hai toh jahaan hai,” Akshay tweeted.
Kartik Aaryan was another celebrity to come forward and create example for other new actors. He took to Instagram and wrote, “It is the absolute need of the hour to rise together as a nation. Whatever I am, whatever money I’ve earned, is only because of the people of India; and for us I am contributing Rs. 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. I URGE all my fellow Indians also to help as much as possible.”
KKR – SRK
Shah Rukh Khan and his KKR owners also came forward to empty their bags for the country. SRK owns one of the most successful franchises of the Indian Premier League.
The famous rapper Badshah also came forward in support of PM-cares fund. The Savage rapper took to Instagram and wrote, “The time has come. Our country and the entire world is facing an unprecedented health crisis. India has been putting up a very strong fight but it needs you. The smallest contribution matters. Do whatever you can in anyway you can. Ive done my bit. Swipe right to find where and how you could do your bit. Dont worry about the number but leave no stone unturned. This is the time to get united and fight selflessly. Jai hind. @narendramodi.”
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also offered their support for the cause. “In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-CARES FUND, and hope that you will too. We’re all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind,” the star couple said in a statement.
Anushka – Kohli
Anushka Sharma and Indian Cricket Team captain, Virat Kohli also came forward for the cause and contributed their share.
Many other celebs also contributed to the fund. Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Shilpa Shetty played their role for the cause.
