Sultan storm is here to stay. Nobody is denying that and nobody had any doubt about it either. Salman Khan‘s film is supposed to ransack the box office and it did. In fact, the film even went a notch ahead and made the fastest 500 cr worldwide in just 12 days. You see, Salman never disappoints. If you have kept faith in his film, he will deliver. These are best times for him and he is making the most of it. But despite all such achievement, somewhere the film is falling short repeatedly when it comes to his earlier blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The second Monday collection of this wrestling drama earned much lesser than Pawan’s quest for Munni that released in Eid last year. Sultan earned 4. 08 cr while BB made a good 9.30 cr.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures saying, “#Sultan [Week 2] Fri 7.43 cr, Sat 11.46 cr, Sun 15.18 cr, Mon 4.08 cr. Total: ₹ 267.31 cr. India biz. ATBB.” Last year, he had tweeted the week 2 figures of BB saying, “#BajrangiBhaijaan remains SUPER-STRONG. [Week 2] Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 19.25 cr, Sun 24.05 cr, Mon 9.30 cr. Total: ₹ 250.02 cr. ATBB.” Clearly, after a massive second Sunday, BB even registered a brilliant second Monday collection which Sultan could tackle. Yes, the cumulative figure of Salman recent release (267.31 cr) trumps that of what BB had earned in those many days (250.02 cr) but you cannot shake off the fact that the single day number differ. Now just imagine what would the tally be if Sultan had made similar figures! GODLY!
