1. Chail
Summer capital of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala after getting expelled from Shimla, this small hillstation boasts of plenty of Deodar trees in its lap. It’s 45 km away from Shimla.
2. Kinnaur
It’s situated 250 km away from Shimla. It’s known for the produce of fruits like apples, peaches and almonds.
3. Kasauli
Sanawar, Dagshai and Subathu are some of the worthwhile places to visit in Kasauli. It’s also known for the famous Monkey Point, the journey till where is itself breathtaking, with a variety of lush green flora; and fauna.
4. Lahaul & Spiti
This place is known for its royal and prehistoric heritage. Guru Ghantal Monastery and Gondla are worth visiting. This place will consume you with rare artwork, historic monasteries and picturesque scenery.
5. Kullu
If you are an adventure freak and trekking and skiing are what make your blood run wild, then Kullu is the place for you. Sprinkle into this the magic of Beas river flowing through the town and lush green valleys, and you don’t need anything else.

8. Dharamshala and Mcleodganj
Dharamshala is known for the Kangra Art Museum, St. John’s Church, Dal Lake, Namgyal Monastery and Nurpur fort. The most adjacent place to Dharamshala in the Kangra Valley in the town of Mcleodganj, the home to the Tibetan Government in Exile. It is heavily influenced by Tibetan culture.
